Punch and Associates Investment Management, Inc., an Edina, Minnesota-based provider of investment management and advisory services, is pleased to announce that Kevin Robertson, CFA recently joined the firm as Director of Institutional Relationships. Kevin brings significant investment experience and a deep knowledge of the institutional market. Throughout his career, he has worked with plan sponsors of all types helping them to implement investment programs and meet their broad investment objectives.
Upon Mr. Robertson joining Punch, Chief Executive Officer Andy Matysik remarked: “Kevin brings over 17 years of valuable experience as a financial professional to Punch, most recently having been responsible for institutional sales, consultant relations, and client service across the United States for a major global investment firm. In his role, Kevin will serve as the primary point of contact for the firm’s institutional clients. In addition, he will be responsible for cultivating long-term partnerships with plan sponsors and consultants. He shares, “I am excited to enhance investors’ awareness of Punch and our investment team’s extensive small cap expertise. I believe clients will benefit from our team’s proven approach in less efficiently priced areas of the public markets. In my previous role, I enjoyed navigating the complexities of international equities, but I believe domestic small cap equities offer a more compelling risk/reward opportunity for the foreseeable future.”

Paul joined the firm in 2017 and has served in various roles over the past six years, most recently as Director of Research and Portfolio Manager. Before joining Punch, he was a Research Analyst at Blue Clay Capital, Manager of Corporate Development and Strategy at Gevo Inc., and an Investment Banking Associate at Piper Sandler. Paul holds a B.S.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Creighton University and is a CFA Charterholder. In addition, Paul serves on the Investment Committee for the Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota.

During the past six years, he served as Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Governance, Risk, and Compliance at Allianz Investment Management. Previously, he spent seven years at Securian Financial Group and Advantus Capital Management as Compliance Manager and then as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer. Todd holds a B.A. in Business Management from Bradley University and a JD from Hamline University School of Law.
In his new role, Todd will oversee all compliance-related matters at the firm in addition to serving as the primary regulatory contact at Punch.
